Modern Slavery Policy

Our Commitment to Preventing Modern Slavery

We believe that every individual has the right to work in an environment free from exploitation. We have a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically, responsibly and with integrity in all our business activities.

We comply with the Modern Slavery Act and take active steps to ensure that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and related abuses do not take place within our organisation or our supply chains.

Understanding Modern Slavery

Modern slavery can take many forms including
• forced or compulsory labour
• human trafficking
• servitude
• exploitation through coercion or threat

We recognise that these practices are serious violations of human rights. We expect complete transparency from our staff, associates, suppliers and partners so that risks can be identified and addressed quickly.

How We Prevent Modern Slavery

We implement a range of measures to prevent modern slavery in our operations and supply chain. These include
• due diligence checks on suppliers and partners
• clear expectations around ethical conduct
• staff training and awareness
• confidential reporting channels for concerns
• regular policy reviews in line with legislation

We work with suppliers who meet our standards and require them to ensure that their own supply chains follow similar practices.

Responsibilities Across the Organisation

Directors

Responsible for ensuring this policy remains compliant with legislation and reflects our commitment to ethical business practices. Directors oversee its implementation and provide leadership on modern slavery matters.

Managers

Provide day to day support for the policy. Managers ensure that staff understand their responsibilities and that processes are followed effectively.

All Employees and Associates

Everyone working for Channel Compliance must read, understand and comply with this policy. Staff should remain alert to possible signs of exploitation and report concerns at the earliest opportunity.

Reporting Concerns

We encourage a culture of openness. Anyone who suspects a breach of this policy must report it immediately. Concerns may relate to
• working conditions
• treatment of individuals
• recruitment practices
• behaviour of suppliers or partners

Reports can be made to a line manager, a member of the management team or via our internal whistleblowing procedures. Concerns will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

We will support any individual who raises a concern in good faith. No one will suffer detrimental treatment for reporting a suspicion.

Working With Suppliers

We expect suppliers to
• act ethically and legally
• prohibit forced or trafficked labour
• prevent exploitation within their workforce
• monitor their own supply chains carefully
• work with us to resolve risks where identified

We may terminate relationships with suppliers who fail to meet these requirements.

Breaches of This Policy

Any employee found to be breaching this policy may face disciplinary action. For suppliers or partners, non compliance may result in the termination of contracts or business relationships.

Continuous Improvement

We review this policy regularly and update it to reflect changes in legislation, industry best practice and the needs of our organisation. Our aim is to maintain a transparent and ethical working environment for everyone.
